Big win for Buducnost Voli in Eurocup Quarterfinals Game 1
Pretty unexpected (at least for me) Buducnost Voli topped Valencia Basket in Game 1 of Eurocup Quarterfinals with 75:71, by quarters 20:21, 20:18, 14:22, 21:10.
I must say that I am very glad because of this win even I said that Buducnost Voli have no chance in this Match-up against Valencia Basket.
This win is another one proof of quality work of Coach Dejan Radonjic and his assistants, people from Buducnost Voli who really doing great job continuously in last several seasons.
Many people was pretty skeptical when Nikola Vucevic left Buducnost Voli and returned in NBA after NBA lockout was over. Most of them believed that Buducnost will not even reach Last 16 phase.
Dejan Radonjic is very talented coach who doing extraordinary job in last few seasons. All of you who have chance to watch any of Buducnost Voli games on TV or even alive, know with how many energy and enthusiasm this guy coach his team.
Buducnost Voli is for years dominant team in Montenegro, but at same time they have pretty good results in ABA Adriatic league and Eurocup.
This season is great. They will play ABA Adriatic league Final 4 in Tel Aviv. Too bad that they will meet Maccabi Electra in semifinal game, but you never know.
Of course with win tonight is just first step to Eurocup Final 4. But I am sure that after this win and positive energy in Buducnost Voli, they are ready even to surprise Valencia Basket in next game. Next game will be played in seven days, March 27.
Tonight, Jermaine Anderson and Bojan Dubljevic led Buducnost Voli with scored 15 points each. Dubljevic also added 8 rebounds. Nikola Ivanovic and Bojan Krstovic scored 9 points each.
In Valencia, Nando De Colo scored 12 points, Florent Pietrus added 11 points.
