According to Eurocup Basketball website, one of the most successful players in European history, Zan Tabak is new Head coach of Sopot Trefl.

Even I disagree with this statement, there is no doubt that Zan Tabak left significant impact on European Basketball as a player through years.

Zan Tabak spent last season as a Head coach of Sant Josep Girona, club in Spanish second division. It was his debut on the bench as Head coach.

He spent several years as Assistant coach in Real Madrid and Cajasol Sevilla.

During that time, he won Eurocup trophy with Real Madrid in 2007, and in 2011 finished second with Cajasol Sevilla.

As a player, Zan Tabak played for Jugoplastika Split, Baker Livorno, Recoaro Milano, Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics, Fenerbahce, Indiana Pacers, Real Madrid, DKV Joventut and Unicaja Malaga.

It will be interesting if Zan Tabak will be successful with Trefl Sopot in Eurocup competition, since it is big difference in coaching in Spanish second division and Eurocup, as a Head coach.
