Windy City Groove Down Crosstown Rival Fury

In a battle of Chicago city rivals Windy City Groove defeated the Chicago Fury 107-99 in front of a packed house at the Salvation Army Red Shield Center, home of the Fury. It was the second matchup between the teams, with Windy City winning the first matchup by three points.

The Fury was lead by All Star Juan Brown (Kishwaukee College) who had 25 points and 4 rebounds. Marvin Lee (Emporia St.) added 18 points, 7 rebounds while Rayshawn Mcelath had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Leshawn Johnson continued his streak with his seventh double-double in-a-row scoring 10 points and 10 assists.

Windy City Groove got a career night from Phil Jackson with 31 points and 10 rebounds.Lavonte Douglas (Missouri Western) had a dominating game inside the paint with 17 points and 25 rebounds. Fabion Harris added 21 points and 8 assists in the Groove victory.

Chicago Fury are on the road next weekend traveling to face the Memphis Lions. The Fury then close their ABA regular season with four-straight home games.
