What a shame for Siena
What to say except “what a shame for Montepaschi Siena”?
Just can’t remember that any Euroleague team played so bad especially in this phase of competition. First quarter result: 24:4, after second quarter: 47:9.
Siena without Bo McCalebb is just not the same team. Jaric definitely is not the right guy for this place.
At the day when Euroleague announces playoffs clashes, I said that Siena will be underdogs in this clash. Just simply, Olympiacos is at least double better team than Siena. And of course, to compare Ivkovic and Pianigiani, no sense.
The Reds started the game with 19 unanswered points and set records for fewest point allowed in a half (9) and fewest through three quarters (22). Head coach Dusan Ivkovic’s men also set a Playoffs record with 55 rebounds and the largest Playoffs margin of victory at 48.
We will see at thursday what may happen, but if you ask me, this playoffs match-up is over. Olympiacos will play in Final 4.
