As we wrote last night, we finally have two teams who will fight for Radivoj Korac Cup trophy, Partizan mt:s and Crvena Zvezda Diva.

I am sure that most of Basketball fans in Serbia were hoping for this to happen, just to have another great spectacle and derby between big rivals for decades.

Honestly, some people believed that Partizan mt:s might have problems with Radnicki Kragujevac and that Radnicki could be one of finalists.

But, in first semifinal game yesterday, Partizan mt:s proved its dominance in this competition and will clash with Crvena Zvezda Diva, tonight at 20.30 CET.

This final tonight, will be the fourth final of those rivals in history. In season 1972/73 Crvena Zvezda won National Cup played in Zagreb (in Ex Yugoslavia) with 71:65.

In season 1993/94, Partizan won in final in Novi Sad with results. 104:102. In season 2008/09, also played in City of Nis, Partizan topped Crvena Zvezda 80:65.

Since season 2007/08, Partizan won National Radivoj Korac Cup in four consecutive seasons. We will see what will happen tonight.

According to many predictions, chances are 60:40 for Partizan mt:s, but National Cup is specific competition, and as all coaches agreed, competition in which you may win trophy in just few days.

Both teams are ready, Crvena Zvezda Diva may be little more hungry for trophies, since they didn’t have much success in last several seasons with trophies.

Partizan mt:s dominant team in Serbia, will try to win their first trophy in this season, and start hunt for two another, ABA Adriatic league trophy and Serbian Championship title.

If we compare those two teams, experience is on Partizan mt:s side. They played Turkish Airlines Euroleague in this season, but didn’t qualify to Top 16 phase. Few very experienced players with many years of experience playing in Euroleague as Dusan Kecman and Petar Bozic.

Crvena Zvezda Diva have better coach. One of the most successful Serbian coaches, Svetislav Pesic, came in Crvena Zvezda Diva this season to start building new team. He has a tough goal, and we will see how much his team may show in final game.

Partizan mt:s could have dominance under baskets, since they have Miroslav Raduljica, Milan Macvan and Rasko Katic in position 4 and 5. They should be better than Mile Ilic, Petar Popovic in Crvena Zvezda Diva.

I am sure that Cair Arena in City of Nis will be crowded with fans of Partizan mt:s and Crvena Zvezda Diva. Just hope so that there will not be accidents. As we heard that yesterday some of “fan” groups clashes in center of town.

I am looking forward to watch this game tonight and hope so that all we will enjoy in this great spectacle in Radivoj Korac Cup final.
