Third consecutive loss for Red Star Belgrade
Red Star Belgrade and Cedevita Zagreb played opening game of week 4 in ABA Adriatic league last night in Belgrade in sport hall Pionir.
As I predicted, Red Star Belgrade loss another one game, and it is third consecutive loss since ABA Adriatic league started.
Despite about 4000 fans in Pionir, Red Star Belgrade lost against I must say much better team. I am wondering what would happen if Cedevita had their night. I am sure that Cedevita didn’t show their full potential.
I am still not sure about Red Star Belgrade game system. And, as it looks like, system is that “there is no system”. “Run and gun” philosophy, weak defense, actually a lot of troubles in defense. Red Star Belgrade received 91 points, last game 101.
After game coach Svetislav Pesic said that his team gave maximum on this game. Somehow I disagree with this. He also said that feel sorrow about fans who came at game and gave them maximal support in key moments.
Nemanja Nedovic scored 17, Nikola Markovic 15 and Bojan Subotic 13 for Red Star Belgrade. Subotic also added 10 rebounds. “NBA star” Adam Morrison scored 10 points with “fantastic” percentage, 22% (2/9) for 2 pts, and 0% (0/3) for 3 pts.
Christopher Warren scored 24 points, Marko Car 15 and Ivan Opacak 12 for Cedevita Zagreb.
Luckily, in next game, Red Star Belgrade will meet Zlatorog Lasko, team without win in this season. So, we hope so that Red Star Belgrade could possibly break this bad series.
