Serbian Super league week 5 starts tomorrow. Games will be played tomorrow, Tuesday April 5 and Wednesday April 6.

Here is the schedule:

Partizan mt:s – Crvena Zvezda, April 5, 18.00 CET

Metalac – FMP, April 5, 19.30 CET

Mega Vizura – OKK Beograd, April 6, 18.30 CET

Hemofarm Stada – Radnicki, April 6, 19.00 CET

Game of the week is the clash between Partizan mt:s and Crvena Zvezda in Pionir Sport hall. Fans for both clubs are very excited and looking forward for tomorrow’s game.

If we try to analyze this game and make some predictions, I would say that Crvena Zvezda have no chances tomorrow. There are very many reasons, and I already wrote about it in some previous posts. Mihajlo Uvalin, coach who coached Red and whites through whole season has been fired about two weeks ago. Foreign players left club due to hard financial situation. Some of them still waiting for money according to contracts. New Head coach Sasa Nikitovic didn’t have much time to try to stabilize team for the rest of season.

Beside all of these troubles Crvena Zvezda won in last game against Metalac 91:81.

On the other side we have Euroleague contestant, they played top 16 this season, qualified for Final four of Adriatic NLB league, won National Cup and they are team with most of chances to win Super league.

But, Black and whites lost a game against Radnicki Kragujevac in week 3 of Super league and gave hope to Red and whites to hope for big surprise as well.

“Derby is always a story for itself and everything is possible. It is only one match and we will certainly not enter the match with thinking to lose with such a small difference. If our opponents allow us, we will make a surprise, we will certainly not miss that opportunity.”

Vlada Jovanovic, Partizan mt:s coach said:
“Regardless of the current squad, form and place in the table, Derby is always a special event. If you are favorite on paper you must show extra energy to keep it switched on the floor. Both teams are always more than enthusiastic and motivated for this match. This match can often break of season. We need to be aware of what victory means to our fans and accordingly come out on the floor and do our best. Zvezda changed the composition of the coaches, and certainly will not surrender. It’s up to us to provide the maximum and for us and because of the fans.”

I am just sure in one thing. We can expect spectacle tomorrow in Pionir. I am sure that both fans will show their best and I really hope so that there will not be any incidents.
