After 2 losses and one win in second round Serbia finally qualified for quarterfinals.

After very interesting game against Turkey, Serbia won 68:67 and sent Turkey home.

This was a kind of revenge for loss from Turkey in last year World Championship, when Turkey scored last point under suspicious conditions and qualified to semifinals.

In this second round, Serbia lost from Lithuania in first game 90:100, and also lost from Spain 84:59. After those two losses, most of fans were pretty scared that Serbia might even lose from Turkey in last win-or-die game. But, Dusan Ivkovic and his guys played well especially in first and second quarter.

Now, we have to wait for today’s games and see against who Serbia will play in quarterfinals, Russia or F.Y.R. of Macedonia. Those two teams play tonight at 8.00 PM CET, and we will see who will be Serbia’s opponent. If you ask me, I would rather have Macedonia.
