Just few weeks ago, when National team of Serbia prepared for EuroBasket Women 2013 in France, there were no much optimistic predictions regarding this tournament.

But, coach Marina Maljkovic and players worked hard and believed that they could do something at this Championship.

Probably, the biggest optimist in Serbia didn’t believe that Serbia will play in Semifinals and have an great opportunity to fight for one of medals.

Serbia wins over Italy 85-79 and booked its ticket to EuroBasket Women 2013 semifinals but to place in World Championship 2014 as well.

Great success for Serbian national team and coach Marina Maljkovic at this tournament.

With five consecutive wins, Serbia have great chances with one of medals, and after all, why not even Gold?

Players proved that if they play as a team, there are no too high goals at front of them. With great defense and team spirit, they came so cles, and we will see if anyone will stop them.

Jelena Milovanovic led Serbia with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Milica Dabovic scored 17 points and Jovana Rad added 15 points and 7 rebounds.
