Second consecutive defeat for Igokea
Definitely the worst game for Igokea in ABA Adriatic league in this season. This is actually amazing how bad Igokea played in this game against Cedevita.
Cedevita wins against Igokea 64-56 in road game, but not only wins, actually Cedevita dominated over Igokea in all segments of this game.
It was sad to watch this game, sad to see leader of ABA Adriatic league with such a lousy performance, lack of energy and willingness to play.
I wrote in last week that maybe Igokea decided to not finish at the first place in this regular part of ABA Adriatic league, and avoid playing in Euroleague in next season.
Maybe there are some other reasons for bad results in last two games. Igokea enters in last six game of regular part of season with bad form, and obvious problems in their game.
Team who played great, who were recognized with good defense and fantastic team spirit, just lost everything of this in last two games.
If this is a just short crisis we will see soon. But, as I can see this situation, something is going wrong in Igokea, and that caused these bad results.
Watching this game I realized that players are not that motivated like they were in previous games. Something is missing.
On the other side, Cedevita played maybe one of the best games in this season, and deserved this win 100%.
Igokea had 16 turnovers, 16-30 for 2-point, 4-22 for 3-point. 36-23 for Cedevita in total rebounds.
Marko Tomas led Cedevita with 16 points, Bracey Wright scored 11 points, Marino Bazdaric added 10 points.
In Igokea, Branko Jorovic scored 16 points, Milos Komatina scored 15 points. After this game, Igokea dropped to 15-5 record, and even despite this defeat remained as leader.
Cedevita improved to 12-8 record, and made important step forward to ABA Adriatic league Final 4.
