Ricky Rubio suffers knee injury defending Kobe Bryant
Bad news for all Minnesota Timberwolves fans that Ricky Rubio suffered a left knee injury while defending Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant during the fourth quarter of a Friday night game and had to be helped off the court.
Just 16 seconds before the end of this game with 101:102, +1 for Minnesota Timberwolves, Ricky Rubio tried to stop Kobe Bryant on penetration and got injured.
According to some sources from United States, Minnesota Timberwolves guard could have a torn ACL. If this is true, this could be big step backward for Ricky Rubio.
But not only for Ricky Rubio. Minnesota Timberwolves will miss its guard in coming games, especially after Kevin Love is out because of problems with his back.
Ricky Rubio, had 8.2 assists per game in current season and without him on the court, Minnesota Timberwolves will not be that dangerous.
On his twitter account, Ricky Rubio said: “Tough loss tonight. I’m gonna do a MRI tomorrow to see how is my knee. Thank you for your support I really appreciate it.”
This is the worst thing that may happen to athlete. Unfortunately, injuries are part of every sport.
We really hope so that everything will be fine with this young guy, and that he will be back on the court as soon as possible.
