I am sure that most of Basketball fans in Serbia expected much more excitements from this derby. I will just say in a short, this is not a real derby anymore.

Not so quality game, many turnovers, missed easy shots. Since Serbian Basketball federation decided that only host fans may come at the derby, atmosphere in Pionir Arena is not anymore spectacular.

However, there were some fans of Partizan mt:s. Partizan mt:s topped Crvena Zvezda Diva 84:69 by quarters (14:17, 15:17, 17:24, 23:26).

One of famous Serbian coaches, Vlade Djurovic said before game that Crvena Zvezda Diva will need one player to score 20 points, and to have high shooting percentage. He expected that this could be Omar Thomas, Andreja Milutinovic or Filip Covic.

After first 20 minutes, Partizan mt:s had +5, 29:34 and I can’t believe that team who will play ABA Adriatic league Final 4 have so many problems with team who will finish this season in ABA Adriatic league at 10th position.

Partizan mt:s finished 3rd quarter with +12, 58:46. Better game for Black and whites in third quarter. Game became more nervous in third and fourth quarter. Dominic James was especially nervous today. He had some trash talk with few Crvena Zvezda Diva players. It seems that even he was nervous, that it stimulated him to give his best.

More physical game in second half, and I wish if we could see game like this from the first second. Even final result wasn’t that important both teams wanted to win because of prestige.

Partizan mt:s have better roster, and I am not satisfied how they play. It seems that their form is going down, I just hope so that coach Vlada Jovanovic planned this as a part of preparation for ABA Adriatic league Final 4 and Serbian Super league.

Experience of playing in Turkish Airlines Euroleague gave Partizan mt:s additional quality. Coach Svetislav Pesic said just after game: “I would like to congratulate to Partizan mt:s. We were fighting but Partizan mt:s has great experience so we couldn’t do more. Now, we need to prepare for Serbian Super league.”

In Partizan mt:s, Dominic James led his team with 20 points and 4 assists, Milan Macvan had double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

In Crvena Zvezda Diva, Omar Thomas scored 16 points, Bojan Popovic added 10 points and Petar Popovic and Filip Covic added 8 points each.

Crvena Zvezda Diva missed 12 free-throws, had pretty bad percentage for 2 and 3 points. Partizan mt:s dominated in rebounds, they had 38, Crvena Zvezda Diva 23 rebounds.

With this game, ABA Adriatic league regular season is over. Crvena Zvezda Diva finished its season in ABA Adriatic league, and Partizan mt:s will play in Final 4 in Tel Aviv.
