In a couple of weeks, the 2013-2014 NBA season gets underway and as has been the tradition, widespread excitement which often characterizes each preseason looms!

Fans, Critics and NBA historians are filled with great expectations of some teams’ projected accomplishments.

Toronto Raptors, one of the teams being spotlighted to spring surprises with one of the eight allotted eastern conference playoff spots, named African born Masai Ujiri of Nigerian decent it’s new GM to steer its wheels.

Masai who was behind Andre Iguodala’s move from Philadelphia 76ers to Denver Nuggetts as Executive VP basketball operations, a position he held till the end of the 2012-2013 season; and also voted the best NBA executive of the season for his versatility and vast achievements is expected to bring his Midas touch-which has seen him turn around the fortunes of such teams as Orlando Magic and the Denver Nuggetts as an international scout-to bear in Toronto and tinker the Raptors to winning ways.

Also expected to impress in the new season is one of last season’s playoffs participants, Chicago Bulls who almost caused an upset in the series and are looking to consolidate on that achievement in 2013-2014.
