Montepaschi Siena fans called Dusan Ivkovic “Serbian murderer”
All we know that sometimes sport fans are pretty rude, aggressive, provocative, but things went too far in Game 2 of Turkish Airlines Euroleague playoffs.
Dusan Ivkovic, Serbian coach, head coach of Olympiacos said: “They called me a Serbian murderer and they spit on my jacket.” What a shame.
Dusan Ivkovic was pretty mad after this and very disappointed since he stated for Serbian media: “Same people doing this second year in a row. They were throwing coins on us.”
Ivkovic also said that there were no protecting glass behind the bench to protect his team from those hooligans. According to team members reports, there were about 50 people who tried to attack Olympiacos players after game when they were leaving the court.
It seems that Andreas Gatzoulis, one of the coaches was punched by some “fans”. Also, some of people spitted on Joey Dorsey.
This is really shame for Montepaschi Siena, since they are responsible for game organization and safety of host teams.
I just hope so that Euroleague willl punish Montepaschi Siena, and hopefully that those hooligans will be punished as well. They do not deserve to be on Basketball games.
I just can imagine what would happen if Olympiacos won in this Game 2. After this game, score is 1:1, and let’s see what will happen in next games 3 and 4 which will be played in Greece.
