As it is announced today on ABA Adriatic league official website, Maccabi Electra will not play next season in ABA Adriatic league.

We wrote about this possibility months ago, and now it is confirmed. I may say too bad, because Maccabi Electra lifted quality in ABA Adriatic league in one higher level.

Maccabi Electra had great season in ABA Adriatic league, they won title as they dominated whole season. They have finished regular part of season with fantastic score of 24 wins and 2 losses.

According to David Federman, owner of Maccabi Electra, main reason why we will not watch Maccabi Electra next season in ABA Adriatic league is that Euroleague have changed system of competition.

Due to increased number of games in Turkish Airlines Euroleague, it is quite impossible for Maccabi Electra to take part in ABA Adriatic league.

Now, it is interesting situation in ABA Adriatic league because since Maccabi Electra will not play next season, it is interesting to see which country will get that spot.

As we already wrote about it, Serbia should get that spot, but we will wait to see what will happen, and wait for some official confirmation.
