In Game 5 of Qualifications for EuroBasket 2013 in Slovenia, Israel topped Serbia in Group A with final score of 89:76.

Much easier than it was expected, Israel won over confused Serbia and improved to score of 3 wins and 2 losses.

Serbia dropped to score of 3 wins and 2 losses and have identical score as Israel and Estonia after 5 played games in group A.

Montenegro dominate Group A with perfect score of 5 wins from 5 played games. Iceland have 1 win and 4 losses, since Slovak Republic have terrible score of all 5 losses.

Honestly, I am pretty pissed off with how Serbia played in this game, and it became obvious that things in Serbian team are not good.

Coach Dusan Ivkovic talk about problems in last several weeks but same problems are still here. Weak and lousy defense is the biggest problem for Serbian National team in this Qualifications phase.

It was also obvious lack of motivation in some periods of this game as Serbian players allowed easy points to Israel and actually gave them this win.

Difference of 13 points could be also crucial after end of Qualifications and at this moment I don’t really believe that Serbia can even win Israel in Belgrade, and especially not with +13 points.

There are so many things that should be improved and it seems to me that Coach Dusan Ivkovic still searching for best five and still has no clear vision about how this team should play in upcoming games.

Of course we are just at the middle of the road as there are five more games to be played, but Serbia demonstrated so many weaknesses in previous games so I am bit frustrated and worried about upcoming games.

In just two days, Serbia will host Iceland in Nis, and it is expected to be easy game and win for Serbia but after today’s performances, it will be interesting to see this game.

Hopefully things will be changed and I really hope so that Coach Dusan Ivkovic will fix all problems and prepare team for following games.
