According to Serbian sources, Igor Rakocevic refuses first official offer from Crvena Zvezda Diva. But, as he stated, this is not end of negotiations.

Crvena Zvezda Diva sent official offer to Igor Rakocevic, and after he refuses, they also said that it is not end of negotiations.

Asked if money is the only or the biggest problem, Igor Rakocevic said: “I am not asking from Crvena Zvezda Diva such a high salary as I can expect in other teams.”

He also added: “However financial part of this possible deal is important, but it is very important to see who will be the coach, and to see if they will have competitive roster.”

Igor Rakocevic continues: “At this moment, negotiations with Crvena Zvezda Diva have priority. I would like to play for Crvena Zvezda Diva, and they would like to engage me.”

It is obvious that Igor Rakocevic will wait until situation with coach Svetislav Pesic will be known. It seems that all other players wait to see if Pesic will remain as a Head coach.

In case that Svetislav Pesic decide to leave, we could have pretty same scenario like in Panathinaikos where after Zeljko Obradovic left club, all main players decided to leave too.

For Serbian Basketball, would be great if Svetislav Pesic will stay and if their plans of building “Dream team” will be realized, even it is hard to believe.
