Good debut for Dominic James
Last night in Belgrade, Partizan mt:s hosted Siroki in Game 20 of ABA Adriatic league. Black and whites won with final result 86:59 (20:21, 12:15, 27:9, 27:14).
For those who were not able to watch this game, final score could looks like that it was an easy game for Black and whites but actually it wasn’t.
Strange game, in first half Siroki was much better team and they even had +4 after first 20 minutes 32:36. Siroki played well, better organized than Partizan mt:s, with good defense.
Partizan mt:s played without energy and ideas. I am sure that most of supported were pissed of with such performance of Black and white guys on the court.
Coach Jovanovic didn’t have solutions to change anything in first half. He tried with rotations, but Siroki simply was better team in first half. It is important to say that Siroki played without one of their best players, Jakov Vladovic due to slight injury.
Second half brought real miracle for Partizan mt:s. Much better game, players more engaged on the court, strong aggressive defense and this game turned on Partizan mt:s side.
Dominic James played well on his debut. Welcomed by Partizan mt:s fans. It seems that this guy could be real enforcement in rest of season. Even it is still too early to talk about James.
Another one good role for Miroslav Raduljica who uses his dominance under baskets and led Partizan mt:s with 19 points and 3 steals. Milan Macvan had 13 points and 10 rebounds and Dominic James 13 points and 6 assists.
For Siroki, Coleman Collins scored 15 points, Fran Pilepic added 11 points.
