Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17 Eurocup last 16 phase will start. 16 teams will fight for Final 4 positions and only one team will qualify to Turkish Airlines Euroleague for next season.

Those 16 teams are divided in four groups and will play against each other twice.

At this moment it is hard to talk about who are the main favorites in this last 16 phase, but I would like to say my opinion that I expect to see following teams in Final 4: Spartak SPB, BC Khimki, Lietuvos Rytas and Alba Berlin.

Just one short tip, it is better to not listen my tips and bet on those teams, many times I failed in suggesting final scores 🙂

Regular season of Eurocup brought many interesting games from week to week, and I must say that I really enjoy every Thursday in watching Eurocup Basketball games.

Beside Bc Khimki, Spartak SPB and Lietuvos Rytas who finished regular season with maximal score 6:0, I must say that I am so glad to see that Buducnost Voli from Podgorica, Montenegro qualified for last 16 phase.

They have very good season in both competitions, Eurocup and ABA Adriatic league as well. Great team under great coach Dejan Radonjic, reached one of their goals in this season, but I am not sure that they will give up in this stage.

After Nikola Vucevic left team after NBA lockout was over, many people said that this will be end of Buducnost Voli in Eurocup season. But coach Dejan Radonjic and his players didn’t share that opinion.

We will see if Buducnost Voli is capable for even higher results even tomorrow when they will host one of the best teams in this season of Eurocup, Spartak SPB.

Another one team that I am really glad to see them in Last 16 phase is Lietuvos Rytas, coached by Aleksandar Dzikic, one of the most perspective Serbian coaches. We will see how far they can go, but if we see their perfect score in regular season 6 wins without losses, everything is possible.

I believe that we will see Lietuvos Rytas in Final 4 this season.

Finally, I am sure that all we Basketball fans around the world and especially in Europe will enjoy in next few weeks in Eurocup Basketball Last 16 phase.
