After four games yesterday, we finally have eight teams that will compete in next round of Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Quarterfinals.

Like during whole regular season, this last top 16 phase brought us a lot of excitement and good games. Top 16 is over, we looking forward for Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals will be played in Best-of-five series with 2-2-1 format. Only one team finished Top 16 phase as undefeated, FC Barcelona Regal.

In Group E, CSKA Moscow and Olympiacos Piraeus will play in Quarterfinals. CSKA Moscow have score of 5 wins and only one loss. Olympiacos qualified with 3 wins and 3 losses.

In Group F. Montepaschi Siena and Gescrap BB qualified in Quarterfinals. Montepaschi won first place in group with score of 4 wins and 2 losses, same as Gescrap BB.

In Group G, Panathinaikos and Unics Kazan qualified for the next round. Panathinaikos won first place in Group with score of 4 wins and 2 losses. Unics Kazan qualified with 3 wins and 3 losses.

In Group H, FC Barcelona Regal and Maccabi Electra will play some more games in next phase. Dominant FC Barcelona Regal finished this Top 16 phase as undefeated. Maccabi Electra qualified with 3 wins and 3 losses, tougher than expected.

Quarterfinal match-ups are already known, so in next phase of Turkish Airlines Euroleague we will watch following match-ups:

CSKA Moscow – Gescrap BB

Montepaschi Siena – Olympiacos Piraeus

Panathinaikos – Maccabi Electra

FC Barcelona Regal – Unics Kazan

I would say that Gescrap BB and Unics Kazan have no chance against CSKA Moscow and FC Barcelona Regal.

Two other match-ups should be more interesting as Montepaschi Siena will meet Olympiacos Piraeus and especially Panathinaikos against Maccabi Electra.
