According to different sources, Dusan Ivkovic leaves Olympiacos just several days after he won second trophy in this great season for Olympiacos.

Unexpectedly, or at least unexpectedly for me, Dusan Ivkovic and Olympiacos parted ways. There are not much informations but according to rumors there are two main reasons.

First, both sides couldn’t agree terms of agreements and another reason is that Dusan Ivkovic would like to focus on National team of Serbia.

This is real shock for Basketball in Greece, since in only few days, Basketball in Greece lost two great coaching names. First, Zeljko Obradovic left Panathinaikos, and now, Dusan Ivkovic leaves Olympiacos.

Dusan Ivkovic said: “In today’s scheduled meeting with president Panagiotis Angelopoulos and vice president George Skindilia, we discussed and analyzed the conditions that have shaped Greek basketball in these times of economic crisis and my stress over the last three years with my involvement with the Serbian national team. This has led to my decision not to stay with the team.”

He continues: “In leaving I would like to wholeheartedly thank the presidents, trustees, partners, my players and all the fans of Olympiacos.”
