In game 17 (even it is 18) of ABA Adriatic league, Cibona Zagreb destroyed Zlatorog Lasko in Zagreb, 80:44  (17:5, 20:11, 22:17, 21:11).

Since the beginning of this game, it was obvious that Zlatorog Lasko came to lose. They didn’t even score a point in first seven minutes og game.

In first quarter they scored only 5 points, after half-time, Zlatorog had only 16 points.

Coach Jasmin Repesa (Cibona Zagreb) said after game: “Congrats to my players for good engagement and very good game on some moments. We deserves this win. On moments we played as we should play all the time. There are still some ups and downs.”

Coach Ivan Sunara (Zlatorog Lasko) said: “We are young team, we need more self-confidence.  We suffer pretty much due to playing in ABA Adriatic league and domestic Slovenian league.”

It seems that some of teams who compete in ABA Adriatic league play this competition as they “MUST” to play. I don’t understand why you guys play in ABA Adriatic if you were not interested to play in this competition from the beginning?

It will be interesting after this season to see how many teams from Slovenia will play in next season of ABA Adriatic league. Probably Serbia will lose one place as well.

In this game for Cibona, Goran Suton scored 20 points and added 12 rebounds. Antwain Barbour and Damjan Rudez scored 16 points each.

For Zlatorog, Luka Lapornik scored 8 points and 4 players added 6 each.

I am sure that we will see more interesting games today in ABA Adriatic league.
