Buducnost Voli qualified to Eurocup Quarterfinals
Buducnost Voli topped Krka Novo Mesto in Game 6 of Eurocup Last 16 phase and qualified to Eurocup Quarterfinals. This is great success for team from Montenegro.
First, I would like to say that this great success is result of hard work of Coach Dejan Radonjic, the best coach in Montenegro and one of the most talented coaches in Ex Yugoslavia.
After Nikola Vucevic left Buducnost Voli because of the end of NBA lock-out, most of people believed that Buducnost will not have successful Eurocup season.
But, players and Coach Dejan Radonjic proved that team is strong enough even without such a quality player as Nikola Vucevic is.
One of the things that I am very glad and impressed is that Coach Dejan Radonjic gave great chance to young Nikola Ivanovic to play in every game with very good playing time.
Young Nikola Ivanovic is great talent, and I am sure that we will hear about this guy in future. Tonight, Ivanovic scored 14 points and added 3 assists. Bojan Krstovic also scored 14 points and Cedomir Vitkovac added 11 points.
Buducnost had great support in Sport Hall Moraca from about 3.500 fans. We will see. Maybe Buducnost will surprise us even more in Quarterfinals.
In Quarterfinals, Buducnost Voli will meet Valencia Basket in home and away format. First game will be played at March 20, and another one at March 27. Even they will meet undefeated team in Last 16 phase, I am sure that Buducnost Voli will use all their potentials and try to surprise favorite team in this match-up.
Other Quarterfinal match-ups:
BC Donetsk vs. Lietuvos Rytas
Spartak SPB vs. CEZ Nymburk
Lokomotiv Kuban vs. BC Khimki
I am sure that we will enjoy in more quality Basketball games in Quarterfinals phase.
