It is over, 2012 Eurocup season is over, and BC Khimki won 2012 Eurocup trophy. They wins over Valencia Basket in Final game with 77:68.

Khimki won Eurocup Title for the first time and they will play in the 2012-13 Turkish Airlines Euroleague.

With this title, coach Rimas Kurtinaitis became first coach that won two Eurocup trophies. He also won Eurocup trophy with Lietuvos Rytas 2009.

As I said before, this season in Eurocup competition was one of the best seasons in last few years. I am sure that several teams from Eurocup could play important role even in Turkish Airlines Euroleague.

All these four teams who played Finals in Khimki could play Turkish Airlines Euroleague without problems.

I believe that biggest disappointment is Spartak SPB, since many people believed that they are the biggest favorites in Finals.

If we talk about this game, this was very good interesting game, both teams played well, and finally BC Khimki had more patience and finished game at best possible way.

Valencia Basket complained about some referees decision in last minute, but I am sure that this decision didn’t decide game winner.

Zoran Planinic was named as MVP of Eurocup Finals. He scored 19 points and led his team to Eurocup trophy. Another one Croatian player, Kresimir Loncar played significant role in this match, Kresimir Loncar scored 14 points.

For Valencia Basket, Nik Caner-Medley scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Serhiy Lishchuk added 16 points.
