Another one great win for Siroki

Great Basketball evening in Sport hall Jezero in Kragujevac. Radnicki hosted Siroki in postponed game of week 15 in ABA Adriatic league.

I expected tough game, and if you asked me before game my expectations, I would not be sure what to say. Siroki won 86:93 (16:28, 26:17, 17:24, 27:24) at front of 2.500 Radnicki supporters.

If I have to describe this game in only one word, I would say “outstanding”. Really, I enjoyed pretty much in watching this game. Clash of two great coaches, Miroslav Nikolic coach of Radnicki and on other side Ivan Velic coach of Siroki.

Very athletic game, full of attractive moves and dunks on both sides.

Game started pretty confused for Radnicki, and Siroki uses all their chances. Radnicki played nervous with lot of turnovers. First quarter finished with 16:28. With run-and-gun philosophy, Radnicki came closer in second quarter.

Second half, again much better game for Siroki, since Radnicki played pretty nervous and couldn’t lift their game on desired level.

I must say that I feel bit sad because Radnicki lost this game and definitely lost its chances for Final four of ABA Adriatic league. I just hope so that they didn’t also lost chances to qualify in Eurocup qualification round.

Siroki earned this win with great and engaged defense which produced a lot of easy points in transition in 1:0, 2:1, 3:1 situations. They also had enough patience comparing to Radnicki. Siroki in some moments played on Euroleague level.

Coach Ivan Velic proved himself again as a great coach, leader of this team who play better and better in this season. Comparing to previous season, Siroki play pretty good even in away games, not only at home.

In Radnicki Michael Scott scored 28 points, David Simon added 21 and Miljan Pavkovic and Steven Markovic added 15 points each.

For Siroki, Jakov Vladovic scored 24, Coleman Collins added 20 and Fran Pilepic 15.
