ABA Adriatic league Game 10

aba adriatic league

As we predicted Game 10 in ABA Adriatic league brought several very interesting games. Same old story, Maccabi is still undefeated team in ABA Adriatic league, after they defeated Crvena Zvezda in Belgrade.

Just two days after they lost against Partizan mt:s in Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Maccabi played another one game in Serbian capital Belgrade but this time they won. Even without full engagement they beat Crvena Zvezda 76:83 (17:25, 19:16, 23:25, 17:17).

Crowded Pionir Arena wasn’t enough to help Crvena Zvezda to prepare surprise and beat Maccabi.

This time without Farmer who played his last game for team from Tel Aviv due to end of NBA lockout, Maccabi had no problems to beat Crvena Zvezda.

For Maccabi, Big Sofo scored 19, Yogen Ohayon and Keith Langford added 12 points each. For Red and Whites, Petar Popovic scored 17 points, Andreja Milutinovic 15 and Branko Lazic 10.

Maccabi is still on the top, and Crvena Zvezda surely goes to the bottom, with only 2 wins and 8 losses in this season.

After unexpected win against Partizan mt:s, Zlatorog prepared another one surprise. This time they beat Hemofarm 76:68 (16:16, 26:21, 18:19, 16:12). Even with this win, they are still at the bottom, but who knows, if they keep surprising maybe they can improve their results. It is still many games to play in this season.

In “Game of the week” in capital of Montenegro, Podgorica, Buducnost proved once again that their home court is tough goal for all teams. Buducnost beat Partizan mt:s 76:68 (17:17, 22:16, 18:20, 19:15) in one very good and exciting match. As we already sad this game was the last game for Nikola Pekovic and black and white jersey. Buducnost dominated in rebounds, and they played well during whole game. I must say that they deserves this win 100%.

Olimpija lost again, on their home court, against Siroki. As we said, Siroki play very well this season and especially in away games. This time they surprised Olimpija with unexpectedly high score 50:78 (13:13, 12:29, 10:22, 15:14). Olimpija is in real trouble, there are rumors that players didn’t want to play due some financial problems in club. Ratko Varda already left Olimpija and he signed new contract in Ukraine with Azovmash. Another one player left Olimpija, Ben Woodside, who uses clause in contract that he may leave if club not fulfill all terms from contract.

Cedevita gave Basketball lessons to Cibona in Croatian derby. Cedevita won 95:69 (24:14, 20:22, 20:16, 31:17). From the first minute of the game it was obvious who is better team on the court. Well done for Cedevita, they doing pretty good in both competitions ABA Adriatic league and Eurocup. If they keep going like this, we will see them in ABA Adriatic league final 4.

Zagreb beat Krka, and Radnicki beat Helios in overtime.
