I just heard news that Zalgiris Kaunas fired Head coach Ilias Zouros just after one game played in Euroleague.

In this game Zalgiris lost against CSKA Moscow 74:87.

I must say that this a shame for Zalgiris and their president and board members. To release coach just after one game is nonsense.

The true is that there are many “regents” in sport today and they believe that they can do whatever they want.

I don’t know if they expected to beat CSKA which have probably the best team in last few seasons. Zalgiris also have pretty good team, but you cannot expect to become champion overnight. I am sure that they have invested a lot of money in this team, but I cannot understand decision to release coach just after one game.
