In first game of today’s programme at Turkish Airlines Euroleague Qualifying rounds, Unics Kazan topped Ratiopharm Ulm 91-73.

I must say that this result is expected, since Unics Kazan is one of the main candidates for filling this empty place for Turkish Airlines Euroleague.

Terrell Lyday blistered the nets by making 5 of his first 6 triples on the way to 21 points for the night to lead the winners.

Ian Vougioukas provided the inside scoring for Unics with 18 points, while Petr Samoylenko, Chuck Eidson, Mire Chatman and Lyday each had 4 or more assists.

In Game 2, Le Mans Sarthe Basket wins over BC Donetsk even I expected that BC Donetsk could be one of teams (beside Unics Kazan) to fight for place in Euroleague.

Even Le Mans have pretty good team, I believe that it is surprise that BC Donetsk didn’t qualify at least to Semi-finals.

Cameron Long led the winners with 14 points, while Alain Koffi and Khalid El-Amin added 12 each and Pape Sy 10. For Donetsk, Doron Perkins put up 15 points, Vojdan Stojanovski 11 and Ramel Curry 10, while D’or Fischer registered 5 blocks.
