Like many expected Spain won EuroBasket 2011 gold medal. In not so exciting match, Spain beat France and won gold medal.

I can say finally, it is over. Even I love Basketball so much, those 3 weeks just watching Basketball was too much.

In game for Bronze medal, Russia beat F.Y.R. of Macedonia in very good and interesting game. Like the probably large number of Basketball fans, I was cheering for Macedonia. They had their chance, but unfortunately, luck of concentration in key moment, decided this match.

Let’s get back to Gold medal match again. Wonderful atmosphere in Kaunas Sport Hall, but I expected little more excitement in this game. The truth is, Spain is better team, but somehow I expected little more from France.

Juan Carlos Navarro is named as MVP. Congratulations.

I must say that I am very disappointed with Serbia performance, and I really hope so that people in Basketball Federation of Serbia will make an good analyses of this results and make some decisions. For me is unacceptable that we played without some NBA stars. If we just take a look at all other National teams, we will see that they came with the best possible teams. We missed several players second time in a row, and I hope so that Coach Ivkovic will explain everything in next few days.
