Siroki won Bosnian National Cup
Congratulations to Siroki, coach Ivan Velic and his players. As expected, Siroki beat Igokea 83:75 and won first trophy in this season.
Definitely, the best team in Bosnia and Herzegovina. They deserves this trophy 100%. They proved quality during Cup competition, but as well during ABA Adriatic league.
Led by great coach Ivan Velic, with fantastic support from board members and sponsors, Siroki growing from season to season.
Final game was not so interesting. Siroki set their rhythm from the beginning, good defense, transition, but as well outstanding shooting percentage.
Siroki finished first half with +20, 51:31, and it was obvious that Igokea will need much more efforts to try to change things in this game.
Bit different game in second half as Igokea tried everything and played with some more energy. But, Siroki controlled game well, and it was obvious that Siroki play as much as it is necessary to win.
One interesting thing about Siroki. Few days ago, Siroki suggested that Bosnian National Cup in following years should be named by Mirza Delibasic. Mirza Delibasic was one of the best ever Bosnian players.
This initiative is great, I am just pissed of why no one from BC Bosna Sarajevo didn’t suggest such great idea. Mirza Delibasic spent his best years in this club, and he shouldn’t be forgotten.
But, obviously, for people from BC Bosna Sarajevo, Mirza Delibasic and all other icons of Bosnian Basketball are not important. For them, the most important thing is to keep their positions and collect political points.
Once again, Congratulations to Siroki for Bosnian National Cup trophy.
