Olympic Basketball tournament coming to its final stage as Bronze medal game was played and National team of Russia won Bronze medal.

It is interesting to say that it is first Olympic medal for Russia as independent country. In this Bronte medal game, Russia wins over very good team of Argentina with final score of 81:77.

Great game, and finally Russia deserves this win, even it wouldn’t be undeserved if Argentina won in this game.

Since I already stated that I am not fan of any of these teams who compete for medal, I really enjoy in this game without stress.

There were a lot of good tactics, attractive moves, and it was great physical game.

Former Euroleague winner Alexey Shved paced the winners with 25 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer in the final seconds, and 7 assists. Reigning Euroleague MVP Andrei Kirilenko added 20 points and 8 rebounds while Eurocup champion Vitaly Fridzon of BC Khimki had 19 points for Russia.

Former Euroleague MVP Manu Ginobili led Argentina with 21 points. Two-time All-Euroleague forward Andres Nocioni of Caja Laboral added 16, Carlos Delfino had 15 while three-time All-Euroleague big man Luis Scola got 11.
