Ricky Rubio’s triple-double for 2-1
If you are hardcore NBA fan you know that NBA Playoffs are underway. One of the most interesting Match-ups are battle between Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz.
At the moment, quite unexpectedly, Utah Jazz have 2-1, thanks to wonderful game and top performance of Ricky Rubio.
Ricky Rubio was one of the key figures in Game 3 as he scores 26 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and served 10 assists in triple-double performance.
Utah Jazz celebrated in Game 3 with 115-102 and once again proved that they deserved to play in Playoffs, and now they are pretty close to go even step futher.
Game 4 is scheduled for Monday in Utah, when Ricky Rubio and the Utah Jazz will look to go up 3-1. Home court, their fans, good predisposition for another one win. But, let’s wait, I am sure that Oklahoma City Thunder will not surrender.
Asked about his game, Ricky Rubio said: “We were down by 10 … and I just changed my mentality, trying to be more aggressive and make some shots,” Rubio said. “We made a run and it helps a lot when you’re making shots and it felt great.”
Donovan Mitchell also played great game as he added 22 points for Utah Jazz.
Rubio’s triple-double was the first by a Jazz player in the postseason since John Stockton in the 2001 playoffs against Dallas. Interesting fact is that there are only two Utah Jazz players who have ever recorded a triple-double in the NBA playoffs. Beside legendary John Stockton in 2001, another one was Rickey Green many many years ago, in 1984.
In Oklahoma City Thunder, Paul George scored 23 points. Three players scored 14 points each, Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook and Raymond Felton. Russell Westbrook also added 11 rebounds and 9 assists.
More about stats in Game 3: Maybe one of the key things in this battle was fact that Utah also outrebounded the Thunder 48-33. 15 rebounds more, pretty good enough for celebration.
Utah Jazz also dominated with assists, 24-17. Oklahoma City Thunder were better in free throws and 3 points percentage, since Utah Jazz had better 2 point percentage.
So far in Playoffs, Ricky Rubio averaged 20.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 8.0 assists. If we compare him to Russell Westbrook, we will see that Westbrook averages 20.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 10.0 assists in the series.

Pretty close, huuuh? Russell was pretty upset at the press conference after Game 3 and he stated: “He made some shots. Too comfortable. I’m gonna shut that s— off next game, though. Guarantee that.”
Well, well, this is sort of challenge for Game 4, and we will see if Russell Westbrook will be really able to “shut that s— off next game.” So, we may expect to see Russell Westbrook to use all of his personal efforts in Game 4 to try to stop Ricky Rubio.
Russell Westbrook didn’t take a shot in the fourth quarter of the Game 3.
So, all-in-all, we are looking forward for Game 4, and I am pretty sure that we will see great game, full of great fight and hopefully unclear about winners until the end of the game.
Show must go on, and I am sure that we will enjoy.
