Even most of us believed that after Ricky Rubio got injured few days ago Minnesota Timberwolves will have big problems, they topped Phoenix Suns 127:124 on Moday night.

Another great role for Nikola Pekovic as he scored 24 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Kevin Love led Minnesota Timberwolves with 30 points. Derrick Williams added 19 points.

After nine-game losing streak, Minnesota Timberwolves finally won, even unexpectedly without injured Ricky Rubio.

In this game Minnesota Timberwolves have scored the most points in a game this season. Also, this game for Kevin Love was the 15th game with 30-plus points, and he set new franchise record.

Luke Ridnour replaced injured Ricky Rubio at point guard and he did well. He scored ten points and nine assists.

Pretty bad game defensively, and I am sure that both coaches are dissatisfied with defense in this game.

Suns coach Alvin Gentry said “We just have to do a better job of understanding what happens in (defensive) rotations, We can’t let Kevin Love catch the ball and shoot nine threes without ever putting it down.”

Yup, I agree. But at the same time it makes me laugh every time when I read statements like this one at press conference after game.

You should say those things to your players at the time-out. After game, it has no sense.
