According to some internet media it seems that Real Madrid Head coach Ettore Messina resigned.

We will wait for confirmation to see if this is true but according to some rumors after yesterdays terrible game and result, people from Basketball world expected this decision.

I know one thing, people in Serbia will probably be very happy because of this decision, because one of the most popular Serbian players Novica Velickovic didn’t have enough playing time under Messina.

We will see if this will be changed soon, and if Velickovic will have more playing minutes.

Yes, it is now confirmed, Ettore Messina is not anymore coach of Real Madrid!!!

His decision came swiftly on Friday, the morning after what had been an unbeaten Top 16 until then ended Thursday night with a 77-95 home loss to Montepaschi Siena. Both teams were qualified for the playoffs and Madrid had already clinched first place in their group, so the game was essentially meaningless. But obviously not for Messina, who arrived to Madrid two summers ago, but was unable to win a trophy yet for the club with the most European club titles, but none since 1995.”
