Maccabi Electra continues dominance in ABA Adriatic league
Whenever I watch Maccabi Electra in ABA Adriatic league, it seems to me that they play as much as it is necessary. Without waste of energy. Maccabi Electra won with 83:77.
This game was great, first half with lot of ups and downs on both sides. Maccabi Electra had great run of 19:1, but later Cedevita had run of 18:5.
Well crowded Sport hall with about 3.500 Cedevita fans, great atmosphere and one really interesting game between two the best teams in ABA Adriatic league.
However, Cedevita won first twenty minutes with 42:38 and I was sure that I will enjoy in second half, even I expect that Maccabi Electra will get more serious in second half.
Personally, I believe that coach David Blatt “played some games” with a lot of substitutions, experiments, playing a lot with players from bench, etc…
When you are dominant then you feel that you can do whatever you want.
Quite same situation in second half, even I believe that Maccabi Electra played with about 70-80% of their full potential.
With unbelievable easy and simple combinations in offense, Maccabi Electra created positions to score. They just believes in this win from the first second. It is really joy to watch games like this one.
On the other hand, I must say that Cedevita played very good. If they had Dontaye Draper in better mood today, Cedevita could win this game, or Maccabi Electra would play more engaged, you never know.
Those two teams will definitely play main role in Final 4 of ABA Adriatic league in Tel Aviv. Partizan mt:s and Probably Buducnost Voli will join the to fight for ABA Adriatic league trophy.
For Maccabi Electra, Richard Hendrix, Devin Smith and Lior Eliyahu scored 14 points each.
For Cedevita, Matjaz Smodis and Christopher Owens scored 16 points each.
