Or maybe we should have title “Ivkovic strikes Back”? Somehow, I knew that we won’t wait too long for Dusan Ivkovic’s response to Darko Milicic.

To remind you, Darko Milicic talked to Serbian medias and used some pretty hard words about Dusan Ivkovic. He also talked about reasons why he didn’t play for Serbia National team.

Dusan Ivkovic said: “In every situation I really tried to protect players. For National team, only players who wanted to play, they played. I was always against some pressure. This year we also had some players who due to personal reasons couldn’t play for National team, but noone payed any consequences.”

Ivkovic continues: “I don’t want to talk too much about this, but, how many times people from Serbian Basketball Federation tried to contact Darko Milicic, and me personaly. But, without response. I am sure that we will meet someday, face to face, and I believe that we will solve all those things in normal conversation.”

Hmm, I believe that everyone expected to hear more from Dusan Ivkovic. Sport fans are pretty divided, someone believe that Ivkovic’s story is true one. On the other side there are people who believe that Ivkovic is guilty because of bad results in EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania.

The true is that Serbia National team didn’t play with the best possible roster on this Championship. Many blames Ivkovic because he didn’t invite some players, Igor Rakocevic at first. Of course many fans would like to see Darko Milicic in National team too.

People believe that there are some true things in Darko Milicic’s story, that Ivkovic due to his ego didn’t invite him and Igor Rakocevic and some other players.

We will see if Darko Milicic will respond to this story, or maybe some other players will tell their stories. I would like to hear Igor Rakocevic and what he would like to say about this and National team as well.
