Dusan Ivkovic partially satisfied after two testing games
National team of Serbia played two testing games against Latvia in last few days and players of Coach Dusan Ivkovic won in both.
In first game, Serbia topped Latvia 91:68 in Vrsac. All 12 players got some playing time and all scored some points.
Vladimir Stimac led Serbia with 17 points, Milan Macvan scored 11 and Milos Teodosoc added 9 points, same as Vladimir Lucic.
In second game also in Vrsac, Serbia wins again, this time final score was 94:85. Milos Teodosic led his team with 24 points and 7 assists, Vladimir Lucic and Zoran Erceg scored 14 points each.
After these two games, Dusan Ivkovic said that there is still room for improvements, especially in defense.
After second game Dusan Ivkovic said: “We didn’t play well in defense in first quarter as we allowed Latvia even 10 assists, many easy points and 74% for 2-point shot.”
He continues: “Our team have a lot of talent in offense, but still a lot of room to improve in defense.”
He also added: “We didn’t play this game at expected level, players are tired due to hard workout in this preparation period. Game was good, nice to watch as there were a lot of points with high percentage.”
National team of Serbia will continue preparation phase in Belgrade.
