After Cibona defeated Cedevita in Croatian league finals, Jasmin Repesa signed with Unicaja, and Drazen Anzulovic got fired from Cedevita’s bench.

Matej Mamic, sport director of Cedevita said: “After meeting this morning we decided to release Drazen Anzulovic from Head coaching position.”

He continues: “We used clause in contract and splitted with coach Anzulovic. I would like to thanks to coach Anzulovic as we had good collaboration and relation.”

“Even I believe that we made step further in this season, we didn’t fulfill all our goals for this season. We expect Turkish Airlines Euroleague, our first season ever in club’s history.”

Cedevita had quite good season as they won Croatian National Cup and played ABA Adriatic league final against Maccabi Electra.

But, biggest disappointment for Cedevita is that they failed in Croatian league finals and lost against Cibona. Obviously, it is the reason to break contract with Drazen Anzulovic.

As I just heard on radio, there are rumors about possible successors, and according to rumors they are: Bozidar Maljkovic, Aco Petrovic and Svetislav Pesic.

Huuh, what a coaching names, but let’s wait and see if any of those will be even close to take over Cedevita for next season.
