Even I am very glad that Crvena Zvezda Telekom won in this game, I must say that Cibona played better in most of this game, and I still can’t believe that they lost.

In Game 23 in ABA Adriatic league, Crvena Zvezda Telekom wins over Cibona in not so quality Basketball game with 97-95.

Despite 31 points Darryle Strawberry in this game, in last offense he messed everything he did in this game. On 5 seconds, he had much better solutions but he decided to take very tough 2-point shot and he missed.

Congrats to Red and whites but honestly, I am pretty disappointed with their game today. The truth is that only wins count, but this game Crvena Zvezda Telekom won because they had more luck.

Maybe reasons of this defeat for Cibona we can find in young and not so experienced coach Danijel Lutz and last pretty messed time-out.

I didn’t like this game for some reasons. First I don’t like this sort of Basketball without good and strong defense.

Other things is that I don’t like run and gun philosophy with a lot of individual actions. This is not good Basketball.

After this game, Crvena Zvezda Telekom improved to 17-6 record, and Cibona dropped to 8-15 record. Cibona will keep struggling in this season and fight to stay in ABA Adriatic league in next season.

Cibona should feel sorrow because of this defeat as they were so close. But, in last few minutes when they should stay calm and focused, they made few stupid mistakes and gave a big gift to Red and whites.

In Crvena Zvezda Telekom, Igor Rakocevic scored 21 points, DeMarcus Nelson score 17 points, Rasko Katic scored 16 points and Marko Simonovic added 15.

In Cibona or better say losers, in fantastic role Darryle Strawberry scored 31 points but missed last shot for overtime, Jerel Blassingame scored 13 points and 9 assists.
