Rumors are finally confirmed on today’s board meeting of Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Cazin.

Aleksandar Aco Petrovic is new coach of National team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I must say finally that this position will be filled with some famous name.

After numerous coaches on Bosnia and Herzegovina national team bench, Aco Petrovic is definitely best known in Basketball World.

Impressive career as a player, numerous titles and Championships won, with clubs and National team of Yugoslavia.

As a coach, also very good role in several very good clubs, in Croatia he coached Cibona, Zadar, Cedevita, in Spain Caja San Fernando and in Poland, he was coach of Anwil.

Brother of late famous Drazen Petrovic could be a good choice for this position. I just hope so that things in Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be changed, and that people who are there for years will understand that they are not the most important part of Basketball in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Hopefully, Petrovic will have enough time to meet players, choose the best possbile players and do his job as best as possible. We will see who will be assistants.

I would like to wish all the best to Coach Petrovic for his new position, and hope so that he will produce good results with Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.

I am sure that Mirza Teletovic, Nemanja Gordic, Aleksej Nesovic, Nihad Djedovic, Henry Domercant and all other players will have a good collaboration with new coach.
