Zlatorog will host Crvena Zvezda Beograd as opener of Game 18 of ABA Adriatic league today at 20.00 CET in Lasko.

Maybe some of you will say: “Hey, hold on, how do you mean game 18? Where is a game 17???”. You are right guys, but don’t ask me. It is true that after Game 16 in ABA Adriatic league we will have now Game 18, strange???

Well, there is no explanation on official ABA Adriatic league website. As far as I could see, next week we will have Game 17. Funny, huuuh???

However, 7 new games, and we can expect good games and new excitements. 

Let’s get back to today’s game and expectations of Crvena Zvezda to keep continue with its progress and good results. Coach Svetislav Pesic expects good game and he siad that his team going in Slovenia for another one win. Even this will not be an easy task since Zlatorog need win to increase their chances to stay in ABA Adriatic league in next season.

Current leader Maccabi Electra coming in Belgrade to play against Partizan mt:s in one of the most interesting games in this week. I wouldn’t say that this game is “Game of the week”, since we have two another very interesting games. Even I am big fan of Partizan mt:s I am not sure that we can handle Maccabi Electra and win in this game. Partizan mt:s still waiting for player who should be quality substitution for Acie Law who left Partizan mt:s and after all rumors, he signed with Olympiacos.

Zagreb will host Cedevita and this game will be very interesting and this is Croatian derby. Zagreb with score of 8 wins and 8 losses will try to surprise Cedevita who is the second best team in current season just after Maccabi Electra. Cedevita have 13 wins and only 2 losses. It is hard to predict winner for this game, but I believe that Cedevita have more chances.

Olimpija and Helios will meet each other in game where I believe that Union Olimpija will win and increase their chances to reach Final 4 even it is tough goal for them after all happenings in team and financial problems.

For me, “Game of the week” is game in Podgorica, Montenegro, where Buducnost will host Radnicki. Radnicki after several good games and wins going in Podgorica to try to surprise Buducnost. After they beat Partizan mt:s in last game, players of Radnicki are full of self-confidence and I am sure that we will watch excellent game in Podgorica. On the other hand Buducnost with this win will be step closer to Final 4, even it is still far away.

Hemofarm will host Krka in Vrsac and this is game of two teams with identical score after 16 games. Both teams have only 4 wins and 12 losses. Pretty unexpected for both, since all we expected much more from Krka who qualified to Last 16 phase of Eurocup.

Siroki will host Cibona in Siroki Brijeg, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this game should be also very interesting. Siroki have good season, and maybe even all expectations. 8 wins and 7 losses. Cibona have score of 8 wins and 8 losses and I am sure that they will come to try to reach another one win in Siroki Brijeg.
